Steelers, Broncos, Dolphins, Jaguars, And Texans Gambling On Sunday

The Pittsburgh Steelers were the number two seed in the AFC playoffs last year. They ended up hosting the title game against Baltimore, and went on to win that game and the Super Bowl. This year, the defending champions will be relying on others to get into the playoffs.

Pittsburgh is one of many teams that still have a chance for one of the final two playoff spots in the AFC. The Steelers, Dolphins, Broncos, Texans, and Jaguars are all teams with possibilities of making it to the dance. All of the aforementioned teams must win on Sunday, then hope for help.

For the defending champions, the road to the playoffs goes through Miami. They will be playing the Dolphins, and the loser will be eliminated. The Steelers then need the Texans, and either the Jets or Ravens to lose.

New York and Baltimore are the two teams that control their own destiny. If both teams win, then the other scenarios would not matter. If one loses, however, the door would be open.

The Jaguars join the Dolphins as the two teams with the longest odds. The two teams are one game behind all the other playoff contenders going into the finale's Sunday afternoon.

The Broncos could have wrapped up a playoff berth last week, but lost in the closing moments to the Philadelphia Eagles. Houston is a team that seems to play well one week, then horribly the next. They have lost some tough games because of missed field goals, or else they may have already wrapped up a playoff spot.

It is not too often that this many teams still have a chance in the final week of the season, but it is all the better for the sportsbooks. The gambling should increase with many teams still having something to play for.
