Super Bowl Betting Odds Already Out For 2011: Colts Favored To Win

The Indianapolis Colts did not even get a full week to lick their wounds from a loss to the underdog New Orleans Saints this past Sunday. The expectations for next season have already been set with odds makers tapping the Colts as the betting favorites to win the Super Bowl in 2011 at 13/2.

The Colts had the longest win streak in history snapped back when the New York Jets defeated them in the fifteenth game of the season. Then, the Colts had even more to be upset about after the Saints dominated them for much of the Super Bowl.

Now, Indianapolis will turn their attention to the off season and correcting the mistakes that let this big game slip away. The Colts will most likely sign quarterback Peyton Manning to a long contract this off season, and they will make key decisions on other players.

Another AFC team, the San Diego Chargers, are the second choice to win next year at 8/1. New England the defending champion Saints are both 10/1 choices. The Pittsburgh Steelers are at 12/1, and should be much stronger with the return of Troy Polamalu.

The Super Bowl next season will be played in Dallas, and the Cowboys would like to become the first team ever to play in the big game in front of their home fans. The Cowboys have odds of 12/1, slightly ahead of their division rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles odds are 16/1.
