Turns out he couldn't. He hit .202 with 114 strikeouts in Double-A ball before he cut his losses and got back on the hardwood. That didn't stop his gambling losses though. He admitted to dropping 57 large back in 1993 and some say he'd go down $500,000 in an evening without batting an eyelash.
