Texas Favored in Matchup of College Football Titans

The Texas Longhorns, who are entering their showdown against Ohio State on Saturday as the defending national champs and are playing at home, are favored by 3.5 points in the game.

So that leaves the team to wonder, if all of these things are going in their favor, why are they ranked #2 in the polls, while Ohio State is ranked #1.

In recent years it has become almost customary that the team finishing the season #1 was the pre season #1 the following year. It happened last year with U.S.C. and a couple years back with Oklahoma.

The consensus is that Texas cannot win with a freshman quarterback that is replacing a college legend in Vince Young.

Much will be answered this weekend as the Longhorns look to use that chip on their shoulder to punish the Buckeyes and reclaim what they feel is rightfully theirs, the #1 ranking in the country.

The game is cheduled for primetime, 8:00 on Saturday night.
