Tiger Woods, Closest Thing To A Sure Bet in Sports Gambling History

The New England Patriots used the early part of the new millennium to create a pro football dynasty. The New York Yankees had a baseball dynasty in the nineties. In the eighties, the Lakers had a basketball dynasty.

None of those dynasties comes even close to the current one that Tiger Woods holds over the golf world. Woods won another tournament on Sunday. He has now won five tournaments in a row three separate times.

Gamblers are constantly looking for a sure thing. Something they can lay their money on, and relax knowing there is little doubt they will collect. Woods is as close to that sure thing as the sports world has ever seen.

"What he's doing now, you can't even fathom it. You just can't explain it. It's just incredible. Just what he did today is more evidence of this weird zone he's in. And he's been in it his whole life," said Bart Bryant.

Bryant should know about the zone, because he watched it firsthand, as Woods took the tournament away from Bryant on Sunday. That is what Woods does, he toys with the field for three days, then brings professional players to their knees in awe on Sunday.

He has done it his whole career, and now, it appears Woods is becoming even more unbeatable. Some are even suggesting that he might go the whole season without losing.

Now the chances of that are slim, but just the fact that people are thinking it might be possible, is surreal. Woods has no teammates. He has nobody to bail him out when he plays poorly, or is sick.

He has a passion for winning that only the greats possess. He has intelligence on the golf course. He has power in his drive. He has finesse in his putts. He has everything.

While gamblers search the papers every day for something in sports that can win them a bet, they often pass over the safest bet of all. The greatest dynasty of all time. Tiger Woods.
