Two Big Conference Games Headline College Football Schedule
Up until this point in the college football season, many of the top twenty five teams have been hosting opponents that are not supposed to even be on the same field as them. With the exception of Michigan, which was shockingly defeated by a division 2A team, the top teams have escaped unscathed.
This week, it is time for the conferences standings to start taking shape, as many teams will face conference foes for the first time this season.
Only two games, however, of all the conference match ups will feature two teams that are currently ranked in the top twenty five.
On Friday, #5 West Virginia travels down to Tampa, Florida, to take on a very strong #18 South Florida team. They share the state with some of the most storied college football teams in the nation, but a win over the Mountaineers, and the team from Tampa will begin to make a name for themselves in the talent rich state.
The other big game of the week features two PAC Ten teams, California and Oregon.
The Golden Bears are ranked #6 and are facing their first test since defeating Tennessee early in the season. Oregon comes into the game ranked #11 and the home field advantage should give them an added boost against one of the country's best teams.
Most of the top twenty five will also be in action, but none will be matched up against each other.
