Upstart Vikings To Test Legitimacy Against Hungry Bears
The Minnesota Vikings have surprised the NFL gurus early in the season this year, but much will be determined about their future on Sunday, when they take on one of the best teams in the conference in the Chicago Bears.
Chicago, although picked by many to win the NFC, have surprised experts with the way they are winning games. The defense is the strength of the team, however, the offense, led by Quarterback Rex Grossman, have held their end of the bargain by posting high offensive numbers.
The Vikings are one of the surprise teams through two weeks of the season, and even though they posted upset victories in both of their games, they are well aware that to be considered serious contenders, they will have to have a strong showing against the Bears.
The Vikings offense is led by a new found rushing attack from running back Chester Taylor, but the main ingredient might have been the offseason pick up of free agent guard Steve Hutchinson, who anchors a newly renovated offesive line.
The game will provide much answers as to whether either team can compete for the conference title, and will most certainly shape the NFC North division, at least early in the season.
