Wade Returns To Miami, James Still In Cleveland, Gamblers Wait
The two biggest NBA decisions are expected to be announced this week, and as of Monday, neither LeBron James nor Dwyane Wade had made their intentions known. What was known was that James is in Cleveland, and Wade returned to Miami.
The two superstars will likely wait until at least Wednesday to make their announcements. James will be helping out at his youth camp tomorrow, a camp that is scheduled to end on Wednesday. Wade is in Miami to promote Alonso Mourning's summer groove.
Wade gave the best indications over the weekend as to his thoughts when he admitted that his family will play a big role in his decision. Custody has not yet been granted in his divorce case with his ex-wife, and if Wade loses custody, he may want to be close to his children in Chicago.
Outside of the family matter, is the idea that Wade is not seeing enough from the Heat's front office to surround him with players to compete for a title. Wade did meet with Miami owner Mickey Arison on Monday, but still his plans have not been revealed.
James, according to other NBA executives, is believed to be staing put in Cleveland. He has been considered to be a hometown hero after playing his first seven seasons just miles from where he grew up in Ohio.
At risk for gamblers is thousands of dollars in proposition bets. Online sports books have been offering odds since the season ended on where James, Wade, and other key free agents will be playing when next season starts.
