Wizards-Cavaliers Line Confounds Handicapper
Nothing odd immediately jumps out at the bettor about the line for tonight's game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Washington Wizards. I don't understand how that can be, says Covers Expert David Malinsky of the opening line. Neither team has demonstrated they are better than the other, yet the books move the line point to 1 1/2-points? That doesn't make sense. Malinsky believes it is the public playing the favorite and banking on the series to continue zig-zagging as the main reason behind the inflated line. But the sportsbooks have a different explanation to defend their decision to open with the higher number.
