World Series Betting Odds: Yankees Favored Over Phillies

The New York Yankees have been the best team in Major League Baseball during the regular season and they continued their dominance in the American League playoffs. The Philadelphia Phillies exhibited equal dominance in the National League playoffs and are the defending champions.

Barring any delays due to weather, the two teams will meet tonight in the Bronx for game one of the World Series. They both have a tremendous amount of momentum, but only one can walk away with the tile of World Champion.

The final chapter of the 2009 season begins tonight in New York. One team is looking to add to their unrivaled history, while the other looks to make history of their own by winning back to back championships.
