World Series Betting Odds: Yankees Moving Closer To Title

The baseball World Series betting odds have almost come full circle. The majority of the season, the Los Angeles Dodgers have been the front-runner as far as the odds go, but as the summer has worn on, the Yankees look like the team to beat.

The Yankees season started as it does most years, in turmoil. They were playing poorly right out of the gate and Alex Rodriguez was causing his annual disturbance at camp. They barely got through the first few months with their heads above water.

Then A-Rod came back from his injury and turned the teams fate around. He provided the spark that management was expecting when they signed his several years ago. Rodriguez carried the Yanks through the middle part of the season before going cold again.

Now, even with Rodriguez having a sub par season, the Yankees have hit their stride and they have not looked back. They are no the verge of dropping the Red Sox to 7.5 games back of the division lead if they can complete a four game series sweep.

Mariano Rivera, who some believed was finished after last year, has been one of the most dominant closers in baseball. Derek Jeter also heard the rumors that he was over the hill, but he has responded with one of the best seasons he has had in recent years.

The rest of the offense has shined, with Mark Teixeira and surprisingly, Melky Cabrera, leading the charge. What the Dodgers were earlier this year, the Yankees are now. They are the betting favorites to win another World championship, and Yankees fans would have it no other way.
