World Series Shifts to St. Louis For Game 3
The Cardinals got what they wanted in the first two games of the series on the road in Detroit, a split, now the Cards will find themselves in the comfort of their own home over the next three games.
Detroit was looking for a sweep at home but relinquished home field advantage in game one when the Cardinals pulled off the surprising early series upset.
Tonight's game will be especially difficult for the Tigers as they will be facing St. Louis ace Chris Carpenter. Detroit will counter with one of their three aces Jeremy Bonderman.
The rotation sets up perfect for the Cards as they will have Carpenter on the mound tonight and they will follow him up with Jeff Suppan in game 4. Suppan surprisingly has been virtually unhittable in the playoffs so far.
St. Louis used a raucaous home crowd to take a series lead on the Mets in the last series, and they hope to follow that same formula in the World Series against the Tigers.
Game time is set for 8:19, with the pregame starting on FOX at 8:00.
