Wynn Casino Wants Gambling Money Owed From Charles Barkley
Big time athletes many times feel they are above the law. They take advantage of most opportunities they are afforded that the general public does not have. One of those opportunities for former basketball star Charles Barkley involved a Las Vegas casino.
Barkley, because of his high profile, was given credit to gamble at the Wynn Las Vegas last October. While taking the credit, Barkley agreed to pay back the money. He has not yet done so.
Wynn has followed up by filing papers in court asking that their money be repaid, or charges be brought against Barkley. He will now have time to pay the money back before charges are officially filed.
Clark County District Attorney said that Barkley will have the opportunity to pay back $400,000 to the casino. He borrowed the money last October 18th and 19th in four $100,000 markers.
This is not the first time that Barkley's gambling has gotten him in trouble. Previously, he reported that he had lost over $10 million gambling. This is just the latest chapter in the former player's gambling saga.
Barkley is currently working a studio analyst on TNT. The cable channel has the rights to certain NBA regular season and playoff games.
