Yankees Fans Get Christmas Wishes Fulfilled Again

The New York Yankees have spoiled their fans at this time of year much like parents spoil their children. Christmas is a time when the children send letters to Santa Claus, and hope they were good enough for Jolly Saint Nick to answer all of their requests.

For Yankees fans, that feeling begins the day after the World Series ends each year. Whether the Yankees win or lose, their fans always keep asking for more. The Yankees, like many parents, keep obliging.

This year brought the addition of two players who could easily help the Yankees be the favorite to win it all again next season. Curtis Granderson and Javier Vazquez have been added by the front office.

Granderson fills a big need in center field. he is a player who was loved by teammates in Detroit, and who has enough power to put up thirty home runs in the band box of a stadium that New York currently plays their home games in.

The other New York team, the Mets, have given their fans a lump of coal this year. The Mets have made an offer to outfielder Jason Bay, and despite being the only team making an offer, Bay has left the New Yorkers waiting for over two weeks.

There is little doubt who runs the better organization these days in New York. Yankees fans will again give thanks for the gifts they have received from their team this Christmas season, and for Mets fans, a chance to sit and wonder what they did wrong in 2009 to deserve such a fate.
