Yankees In Danger Of Losing ALDS After Losing Friday Night
The Tigers took a 2 games to 1 lead in the best of 5 series behind a dominating pitching performance by starter Kenny Rogers. Rogers has been the most consistent Tigers pitcher this year and again put on a top notch performance, as the Tigers returned home after 2 games in the Bronx.
The Yankees, who were heavy favorites in the American League, now find themselves one game from elimination, and face the game on Saturday having to pitch Jamey Wright, their #5 starter.
Compounding problems for the Yankees is the fact that they will have to defeat one of the Tigers young aces Jeremy Bonderman just to get the series back to New York.
Detroit will be looking to wrap the series up on their home field and have no plans on returning to New York for a game five.
The Game on Saturday is set for 4:00 eatern time and will air nationally with viewers tuning in to see possibly the end of the Yankee season.
