Zenyatta The Morning Line Favorite In Breeders' Cup Betting
The Breeders' Cup is the richest event in horse racing, and racing enthusiasts now know which horse will be favored in the biggest race, the Breeders' Classic. Zenyatta, an undefeated mare, was installed as the early morning favorite on Tuesday.
Thirteen horses have entered the race, but none come with the credentials of Zenyatta. No female horse has ever won the race, and she will be only the fourth female horse ever to enter.
"she's done everything right," said owner Jerry Moss, when explaining why they chose to enter Zenyatta in the race, "She deserves to be here." Indeed, she does deserve to be in the race, but her presence does not make other trainers with horses in the race happy.
The Breeders' Cup is a magical display of racing that spans Friday and Saturday. On Friday, six races will be run, and on Saturday another eight will be held. The Breeders' Classic is the richest race of the year for the racing industry.
Zenyatta has odds of 9-2. Rip Van Winkle is the second choice at 5-1, and Einstein and Summer Bird have opened with 6-1 odds. Here is a full list of the morning line odds for the Breeders' Classic.
